Personalized experiences
Through securing a LUXURY SUITE AT THE ORACLE ARENA IN OAKLAND, CA we are able to create a warm, comfortable environment for patients from the children's hospitals to experience an array of events (listed below). Our signature experience at Oracle Arena are Golden State Warriors professional basketball games…coupled with an amazing relationship Nicholas held and holds from Heaven with the Warriors and their mascot, Thunder.
After one long year we have completed treatment. The gift of going to the game, viewing it from such great seats and having the opportunity to meet such wonderful people was the most amazing gift. I can't say thank you enough...thank you for being such a blessing to me and everyone else you touch. May God continue to guide your steps and may many blessings pour out your way.

I just want to thank you for the wonderful opportunity you gave my family to see the Disney on Ice Show on 3/8/08 in the fabulous luxury suite. Such a treat! Our daughter Teagan (4) had no idea of the event. It was a wonderful surprise to her. Teagan has been fighting JMML for almost a year and a half. She had a BMT 5/07/07 and relapsed 11/07. We left LPCH in 12/07 to go home and arranged hospice care for her. Well it is now March and we have her home and enjoying every nano second we have with her.
Thanks again for your wonderful philanthropic work. It give families like us a chance to experience these types of events that ultimately make lasting memories.
Sincerely,
Karina Pesta
Forever grateful for the SF Ballet tickets, both of my grandmothers and my mom were able to attend because of your awesome compassion for "Helping Children Be Children." Thank You and Huge Blessings to your family. In our prayers.

"NICHOLAS COLBY FUND® BASKETBALL CLINIC," a branded event / experience with the Golden State Warriors. The Golden State Warriors created this opportunity for patients associated with The Nicholas Colby Fund® to be treated like a basketball star. Along with our efforts to make this a time to cherish, we are providing patients from children's hospitals and a parent to jointly take part in this clinic at the Warriors Practice Facility. The inaugural basketball clinic was held April 7, 2008.
Nicholas' love and the love of the Warriors' organization is amazing...generating amazing things like this experience.

Sheila and Lamont, on behalf of the LPCH I want to thank you for providing the financial support to allow a family of a very ill child to travel to Disneyland for 3 days! I just spoke with mom and she told me to tell you thank you about a MILLION times! They truly had the trip of a lifetime! She couldn't stop talking about the wonderful gift that you gave them as a family.
...mom said that her son never wanted to rest and that he just kept on going and loving every minute of his true dream vacation. She said that her ill son prayed and prayed to have strength for the trip, and in the end he didn't get sick once or have any pain. She was so grateful for the extra money and said without that money she would not have been able to let them eat at Disneyland.
Through you son and your foundation you granted this family a trip of a lifetime! You do amazing work and I know that this trip will be cherished by this family for many years to come!
